The Indiana Pacers Stephen Jackson ran into trouble with the law for discharging a firearm in public. NBA commish, David Stern, doesn't like it, but Jackson doesn't care.

Indiana's Stephen Jackson disagrees with NBA Commissioner David Stern, when it comes to carrying a gun. As you may recall, Jackson discharged his firearm after being hit by a car in early October; he's come under heavy scrutiny since the incident.

In a recent interview, Stern said that NBA players should leave their guns at home. Jackson's response? Why have a gun, if you aren't going to tote it around?

After all, the Pacers guard asserts, if you're going to take a class and learn how to shoot it, carrying the gun makes sense. Once again, something an NBA player says has us confused.

What is it with NBA players and their strange logic? Here's an idea, Stephen, try keeping a low profile every now and again. This way, you won't call so much attention to yourself, and you won't need a gun. Go home at a decent hour, instead of stumbling around in the middle of the road in the wee hours of the morning. Stay away from trouble, and put your six shooter in its holster.

Oh, and maybe in the process, we'll all feel a little safer and you'll take a little heat off of your Indiana team. They could certainly use a break from bad press.
