Is it possible that Carlos Boozer is not on Suite101's Fantasy Basketball Top 20 rankings list? Was someone asleep at the computer, when this list was created? There's got to be a logical answer.
Boozer sports career averages of 14.6 points and 9.3 rebounds. Not bad, but certainly not stupendous for a guy who left Cleveland a couple of seasons ago for a huge contract in Utah.
Playing in just 84 games in his first two seasons with the Jazz, Boozer contributed roughly 16 points and 8.5 boards per game. Again, solid numbers, but not the stardom Jazz fans had envisioned.
It didn't take long for fans and media to begin a stentorian bashing session, at Boozer's expense.
Then the 2006-2007 NBA season arrived with new hope for the Jazz and a renewed health and vigor for Boozer. The former Duke star has responded with 22 points, 12.6 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game, including remarkable 59% shooting from the field.
Meanwhile, Boozer's Utah club is off to a 10-1 start.
So, does Boozer belong in our NBA Fantasy Basketball Top 20?
Jazz fans will say yes, but only Boozer and time will tell.
