Carlos Boozer and Deron Williams are fueling a great start by the Utah Jazz, who jump 18 spots all the way to number one in this week's NBA Power Rankings.

1. Utah Jazz -- Boozer and Williams helped overcome 57 points from Milwaukee's Michael Redd, as Utah went to 6-1 and moved from 19th in our pre-season Power Rankings.

2. San Antonio Spurs -- After being dunked on relentlessly by LeBron James earlier this year, the Spurs have been unblemished and are 5-1.

3. Los Angeles Clippers -- Solid board work from newly signed Chris Kaman, along with steady play from Elton Brand has helped Los Angeles reel off four straight wins.

4. Cleveland Cavaliers -- LeBron and company scared us a bit with two straight losses early, but the Cavaliers rebounded nicely, even overcoming a 25-point third-quarter deficit, en route to a huge win over Boston.

5. New Jersey Nets -- Only four week-one games, and the Nets check in at a pedestrian 2-2, but we're standing firm on our strong feelings about this stable of thoroughbreds.

6. Chicago Bulls -- Ben Wallace showed what he'll mean to the Bulls with 18 rebounds in a recent win, leading Chicago to a 3-3 first week.

7. Houston Rockets -- Averaging 26 points, 9 rebounds and over 2 blocks per game, Yao Ming has the Rockets off to a 4-2 start.

8. Washington Wizards -- Gilbert Arenas has started where he left off in 2005-06, leading the Wizards to a 3-2 mark.

9. Sacramento Kings – Ever heard of Kevin Martin? He's averaging 23 points in the Kings' first five games. Now that you have, keep an eye on him and high-flying Sacramento.

10. NO/Oklahoma City Hornets -- Sure, the Hornets lost two straight after a perfect 4-0 start, but Chris Paul is scary good, and this team has spunk. We'll let them bask in the glory of the top 15 for a bit.

11. Orlando Magic -- At 4-3, this team is still learning to play together, but Dwight Howard is a force in the middle and, for the time being, Grant Hill is healthy. If this remains status quo all year, the Magic will be a playoff team.

12. Golden State Warriors -- We're shocked at the great start by the Warriors. Baron Davis has carried a solid, if unspectacular, squad to a 4-3 start.

13. Miami Heat – We said the Heat would get old fast, and we weren't kidding. So far, Shaq is getting 14 points and 6 boards per game. Zo averages just 5 and 2, respectively. The Heat is 3-2 and ranked here on name alone. Let the skydive begin.

14. Portland Trail Blazers -- Dead last in our pre-season Power Rankings, Portland is 4-2, and Nate McMillan is an early NBA Coach of the Year candidate. Zach Randolph has been a beast in the post and rookie Brandon Roy has stepped right in to play big minutes and average nearly 12 points per game.

15. Indiana Pacers -- Still working on off-the-court problems, the Pacers managed a 4-3 first week and are still a tough out on any given night.
