Triple-double machine Jason Kidd is among several other stars being discussed in NBA trade rumors.

The NBA trade deadline is Feb. 22. Some deals have already been consummated, but NBA trade rumors continue to run rampant around the Internet, local newspapers and magazines.

Among the biggest names recently rumored to be on the NBA trade block are: New Jersey's Jason Kidd, Philadelphia's Andre Miller and Memphis' Pau Gasol.

NBA trade rumors surrounding Pau Gasol. . .

Of course, we're only about a month removed from Grizzlies owner Michael Heisley saying Pau Gasol was absolutely not going to be traded, unless the Cavaliers called, offering LeBron James.

How quickly things change in the NBA.

Suddenly, Gasol, who has played listlessly at times and has asked to be traded, is one of the hottest NBA trade rumors going. Most of the talk has Gasol headed to Chicago, if the Bulls would offer Luol Deng or Ben Gordon.

Bulls GM John Paxson says he's concerned about disrupting the chemistry that got the Bulls into the playoffs the past two years.

Don't be surprised if a deal happens before the deadline, though.

NBA trade rumors surrounding Jason Kidd. . .

New Jersey Nets point guard Jason Kidd is having one of his best seasons, which is certainly saying something for Kidd, who can drop a triple-double on you faster than Joan Rivers drops names on the red carpet at the Oscars.

The Nets' asking price for Kidd, who has about $41 million left on his contract, is over the top. New Jersey, various sources have reported, wants Ray Allen and draft picks for Kidd.

Most recently, the Nets have talked with the Los Angeles Lakers about Kidd, but the Lakers are reportedly offering rookie point guard Jordan Farmar and perhaps Kwame Brown, who's been hurt this year, and journeyman forward Chris Mihm.

Why let Kidd go, you may wonder? Well, this is where NBA trade rumors get started, but sources say New Jersey wants to compete for a title this year and retool for next year at the same time. Can anyone say, "Have your cake and eat it, too?"

NBA trade rumors surrounding Andre Miller. . .

If the Philadelphia 76ers cut a deal for point guard Andre Miller, the former Denver Nuggets player's head may begin to spin. The ink is still wet on the deal that sent Miller to Philly as part of the Allen Iverson trade. Now, Philadelphia, losing more often than a gambler in Vegas, wants to load up on draft picks, while saving some money.

Miller is a tremendous point guard, who can pass and shoot, but he's on the wrong side of 30, and he has a long-term contract -- two factors Philadelphia doesn't want.

Interested teams include the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Los Angeles Lakers. A deal with the Cavaliers is not likely, though, as recent reports out of C-Town say that Cavs GM Danny Ferry is being very cautious with any moves. He likes the core roster and doesn't want to part with any starters.

We're not sure what Ferry loves. Other than LeBron James and Anderson Varejao, we don't see an untouchable player on the team, and Miller might just be the missing element to a deep playoff run for LeBron and the Cavaliers.
